Seeking, Celebrating and Sharing God's Love...

We welcome visitors with open arms and our family friendly services allow the entire family to share in worship together! Below is some great information about our church and what you can expect during your first visit...

When are your services? - Our services are every Sunday at 10:30 AM and 5:30 PM.

Where do you meet? - We meet in our Church Building on 131 High Street, Akron Ohio 44308.       Map to Church.

Where do you park? - We park in the parking garage that is located between Broadway and Wheeler Lane, with some parking available on High Street.

How should I dress? - We have a friendly and casual atmosphere, dress the way you feel most comfortable, from jeans to business casual to suit and tie. But don't worry about what you are wearing. We're more concerned with meeting your real life needs than what you wearing.

Where should I go once inside the building? - Just follow the crowd through the main entrance or through the back door adjacent from our parking garage, which opens into the stairs to our fellowship hall and sanctuary.

Do I need to bring anything? - No, but feel free to bring a pen and note pad to take notes if you wish. Bibles are available.

Will I have to stand up and introduce myself? - Newcomers and visitors do not have to introduce themselves during the worship services. However, you will have a chance to meet the people around you at the beginning of the service as we begin our services with greetings.

What are the services like? - We celebrate two worship services at 10:30 am and 5:30 pm. The celebration service at 10:30 am  includes traditional hymns integrated with liturgy, Bible readings. The 5:30 pm Mission worship is multimedia content with emphasis on Mission in Action. You are welcome to participate at 5:30 pm where we share a Meal with all our Downtown Street Neighbors. The meal is a great time for table fellowship and the food is usually pretty good!

I'm worried that I will feel out of place! - We hope that our web site will ease your mind but if you have a question, please ask someone for help. Don't hesitate to say, "Hello, I'm visiting, what is this about?" Our congregation is very friendly and is happy to have the chance to welcome new visitors. There are always other visitors at each service so you shouldn't feel alone.

I don't know that much about the Bible! - That's what we're here for! Worship and Bible Study are opportunities to grow in our knowledge of our faith in Christ Jesus. You don't have to know anything about the bible or even any religion to attend a service.

I come from a non-Christian or non-Disciple background! - Please come by and check out one of our services. You will not be expected to say or do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable. Come to see what we're all about and participate in as much or as little of the service as you feel comfortable with.

Are my children welcome to visit your Bible Studies?  - Absolutely. When you arrive at the church on Sunday morning or evening, simply check with the nearest person and they will be happy to show you and your children where the Bible study classrooms are located.
